Hi Aldo,
Sorry for the delay in response. I was on travel.
Yes there should be 24 directories, named N0000, N0730, ... ,
S8230. In each directory there will be a variable number of files.
For example, in N8230, I have 48 files, from 4615.gsc to 4662.gsc.
The smallest file(s) in this directory are 26 KB (e.g. 4629.gsc) and
the largest file is 293 KB (4619.gsc). Does your directory N8230
look like this?
There are a total of 9537 .gsc files altogether. (The last file in
S8230 is 9537.gsc.
The directory (folder) structure should look like this:
...\GSC\
.......\N0000\
.............\0001.gsc
.............\0002.gsc
etc.
to .....\0593.gsc
.......\N0730\
.............\0594.gsc
etc.
.......\N1500\
etc.
.......\N2230\
etc
etc
.......\S8230\
There is also a TABLES\ directory, which is part of the GSC
catalog. I do not know whether CdC requires it, but probably it
does. If so, then it looks like this:
...\TABLES\
..........\lg_reg_x.tbl
etc.
When you point CdC to the GSC catalog, make sure you point to the
parent directory containing both the \GSC\ and \TABLES\
directories!! and not to the \GSC\ directory itself. This is
important.
If you still have trouble I will look further into the catalog
source you specified from cdsarc. Let me know how you are doing.
Regards,
Dick
