It does sound a bit unfortunate. I would check with whoever 
supplied it for the exact model and ask whether this sounded 
right to them. Really you need another identical one to check 
against -- they might be willing to use another machine to see 
if the disks burn there, and then be willing to look at whether 
what they suppliedis faulty.
