Well my Genius in the Bath Apple Store had to google a solution as he didn't know the answer and found a discussion which has also been helpful. eg. one can also having dragged extra pages from other pdfs into the sidebar get round the fact that there is no Save As by going straight to Print and then Save as a PDF.
