The audio support built into most computers should support the mic and the speaker channels leaving the two high quality audio channels to support the I/Q channels. That is especially desirable in a laptop setup.

That would open much more possibilities for the choice of the sound
card.... or there are other reasons that dictate the 4-channel choice?
