You are a lucky man... We have never had enough programming horse power to 
attempt any like that. 

So if every studio you have worked at had a sequencer built from scratch at 
great cost and time don't you think it's about time Autodesk added the feature 
to soft?

Chris- handles are extra frames that would be rendered at the beginning and end 
of every shot so the editor can slip the result by a few frames if needed.

I don't know if any one noticed but you can retime the animation for each 
sequence in the time line.  Making shots slower or faster. It would be great if 
there was a tool to bake out each seq as a separate scene for refinement, and 
then have the ability to reimport the adjusted scenes into a single timeline.
