There is no ill intentions, it is slow and poorly modeled/textured. Apart from that I don't think it is anything wrong to point out the things that don't work and question if it is really worth it, as a community the most important thing is to share our opinions in a non-destructive way (which I believe we have done very tactfully), otherwise nobody will learn nothing, the software manufacturer will thing everything is great but nobody uses it, etc..
From my point of view I would gladly use for crowds and previz work/layout work, and if done well I will certainly pay for it so it is not about bashing it.
