I think so, I was chatting with Eugene on his question (which I
quoted) about whether HE in C4D would be a good alternative to
Softimage ICE for a freelancer.  Which is why I also mentioned
Thinking Particles - not only because it's graph based particles
system, but because it's directly in the app like ICE.  This has
nothing to do with debating the HE concept or use in studios.  From
the other replies I think the comment was well understood. Replies
from Cristobal and others that add more information are very
appreciated.

The fact that HE assets authoring requires also using Houdini is not
speculation and it's kind of critical to the discussion for an
individual, and not a slam on the platform.
