Thanks Alan, This will help. > When the Pic is first run Tom's software reads the startup register and adjusts these to match. The registers read from the Si570 appear then, after the 16 frequency data groups. I take this to mean the registers from the 570 [#17] are in the 6 locations following the 16 preset freqs. I think I have located some of the confusion. This would make the last group #16 at 002160 to 002165 and the SI570 startup at 002166 to 00216B, but I do not think the PIC sees it the same way. Just received the Kits and thought I would look at the PIC locations first. I have not built the hardware up as yet [Tony seems to be having problems, so I wanted to see what I had before & after]. I will make a spreadsheet with my interpretation and post [may take several days as several active projects]. The spreadsheet may also help identify the locations to change for the non FCC controled Europeans as well. If any one has the band plans for other countries [post a link] I could make a separate Excel-VBA sheet with those frequencies similiar to the one you use that is posted in the files area in my zip file: /files/K9IVB-Si570/Si570-Calc3.zip 73, Dick K9IVB
