Chris, are you saying I should use the EN router between the modem and
the SOHO3? I was going to set it up for the SOHO3 to go directly to the
modem, as the SOHO3 supports PPPoE username and password, correct?

Business DSL router

I use a Adsl line with SpeakEasy and COVAD at home w/static IP. I had a

Sdsl line before. Both used a SpeedStream router (different models, the

5250 Sdsl is for sale) and my PC's NIC plugged directly into it. What
is
the Adsl modem? Something does not seem kosher ;)

The router should go right into the WAN port of your SOHO3. Static IP
is
the only way to go.

You should get better "support" at www.dslreports.com ;)

Chris

PS: It is pouring cats & dogs here in Washington DC and Verizon is
having
to go into a manhole to fix the random problem with my T-1
