<[A modification on an old Terran phrase... all bad things will come to those
who wait...]> he answered, then sat up perfectly straight, faced forward, and
closed his eyes. A brief moment later, he opened his eyes. He was done. He
would no longer cooperate in this conversation.
She shook her head. <[Well, I see we're done. Do you at least have a name
and rank that you'd care to tell me, or should I just call you Prisoner Number
One?]> she asked as she stood.
He broke his silence at that point. <[I am Bi-kal of clan Baakor, son of
Dukos, grandson of R'Val, Commander in the Imperial Fleet."
<[My name is Kitanya, daughter of Mirra of Cait and Torg of Qo'nos, of Clan
Mikan, Vice-Admiral in Starfleet.]> she said, bowing formally. There was no
reason to be impolite, after all. <[We will be speaking again.]>
He gruffed his response.
She called the guards and had them take him back to a different cell, if one
was available. She wanted him alone, unable to talk to his crew. If not,
well, that was the way it was then. She went back to the monitoring room.
<[So,]> she asked the major. <[What did you see and hear from him and how did
the others react when he was taken away?]>
<[When he was taken away some just stared, while others almost chanted. Upon
his return, they became silent, as if they were waiting for some confirmation
from him or something. Once inthe middle of the detension area, he roared and
shoved one of his guards. Knocked the poor guy to the ground about 4 meters
away. Another fired a phaser at his on stun, but it had little effect. The
prisioner for his part let out another roar, then calmed down. The other
prisioners went nuts. They liked the show of defiance.
The guard is doing just fine. He suffered a bruised pride, but little
else. The whole stunt was for show.
On a side note, M'Rrall came in with the Doc to do a quick scan of the
prisioners to be sure that they were not sporint internal injuries. All of
the prisioners just got silent, and watched the poor cat. There was some
grumbling going on, but it was not vocal more gutteral so it was
unintelligable. He is Caitian, a felinid like them, but he has no hair...
That is all the reason I could come up with why they reacted like that.]>
