Caimlyn could not help but blush at the response. While he knew nothing more was intended than simple courtesy, it was the first time he had been asked to be a guest in a woman's home. "I believe I am on leave. While I have been transferred over to Special Operations, I have not yet been given any orders to report in. I think I would like to take you up on your generous order."

"I would think after this mission you would have earned some time off," she said. "Let me go get my things," said Katya as she stood. "I will meet you in the transporter room and we can beam to the platform in St. Petersburg. My home is only a short hovercab ride away."

Katya stopped as she reached the door. "Caimlyn," she said.

"Thank you for not judging me for what I do," she said softly. It was a thought that had tugged at her all evening, and she needed to say it.

"He who is certain he knows the ending of things when he is
only beginning them is either extremely wise or extremely foolish;
no matter which is true, he is certainly an unhappy man, for he
has put a knife in the heart of wonder."
