Where would you like to start, Admiral?" she asked as she sat down in the
chair across from Admiral Jackson.

"I guess the  most important thing to discuss is the status of your patient.
Do you think  Captain Boulay will be able to hold up under the pressures
of this  investigation?"

She nodded her head.  "Captain Boulay has come a long way in a short amount
of time.  When he first came to me he was quite scarred by his experiences
on his last mission.  I diagnosed him with post traumatic stress disorder.
Through some sessions with me and the support of his loved ones, he has
stabilized.  While I would not say he is cured, he should be able to provide
you with any information you need.  In fact, I think it might do him some
good."

It was not the response that Jared had expected.  He had thought the Counselor would be more resistent to sharing information about Boulay.  He was glad that was not the case.  "How so?"

"Well, sir, one of the patient's concerns was that those who were
responsible for what happened would not be brought to justice.  You will in
fact be addressing that concern directly."

This explained the Kirk's willingness to work with him.  It was in the best interest of her patient.  He could also understand what she was saying.  "Do you think that the Captain will be able to participate in the investigation in a manner that would not make the it impartial?"

"And you?  Would you be willing to speak with us about your impressions of what happened to Captain Boulay?"
