"Well, sir, one of the patient's concerns was that those who were
responsible for what happened would not be brought to justice. You will in fact be addressing that concern directly." This explained the Kirk's willingness to work with him. It was in the best interest of her patient. He could also understand what she was saying. "Do you think that the Captain will be able to participate in the investigation in a manner that would not make the it impartial?" "I cannot say that he will not have a vested interest in the results of the investigation, but I have no doubt that he would work to in an appropriate manner." "And you? Would you be willing to speak with us about your impressions of what happened to Captain Boulay?" "That would depend on what you asked me and what I have been told I can speak about from the patient. As a Counselor, I have to put that person's needs first." Jared knew this was coming. It was something that he always faced when dealing with medical personnel. "I understand the need for patient-doctor priviledge, Counselor. I have no intention of invading Captain Boulay's privacy. I just know that your opinions and comments could be important in this investigation and any related court cases." (Joanna?)
"Perhaps we could approach this from a dfferent direction. Would you
be willing to be interviewed in the presence of the patient himself? He
would then be able to say whether he wanted you to speak or not."
(Joanna?)
