>"That is correct... Please forgive me, Theran, perhaps I have misspoken.
>I said rumor, when I should have said that we have intelligence. This
>intelligence indicated that there was a meeting between a new felinid race,
>the Founders, and high level Venasian officials."
"Ah yes. I was not privy to that meeting, but I know that Mora'sa'i R'saran
was. Whatever it is, it cannot be good for lasting peace in this quadrant.
I will keep my eyes and ears on it and send whatever information I find to
you. Speaking of Commander R'saran, Admiral, I will give you a small
warning to be very careful in your dealings with her should you ever come in
contact with her. Your information sources will show a family background
for her, but that has been carefully crafted. In fact, she is the prototype
of a new genetic spy, with no background and no family. Not only is she
genetically programmed to kill without fear or remorse, she is also has a
perfect memory and is totally devoid of independent thought. Instead, she
is continuously "tapped" by one or more of A'amon's personal circle, and
anything she sees is actually being seen by them." A sardonic smile crossed
the rat-like Venasian man's face. "One of A'amon's 'brilliant' ideas. A
puppet, if you will, and a highly disposable unit should she ever get
caught."
Oddly enough, this made sense. It made it possible for a few to seem like many, and
for perfect clarity of message when it came to officials making statements to the
media, foreign governments, and the Venasian populous in general.
"Thank you for sharing this information. Would I be safe in assuming that the person
being put on display as Ambassador Celana D'amondra is actually one of these
creations?", Garibaldi asked.
{response}
"Theran, I wish to thank you on behalf of Admiral Lasiter and the rest of Starfleet
for your information. Please let us know what else we can do for you. The old bases
of ours that I've already mentioned is a good start, but if there is anything else...
supplies, transports, anything. We will do what we can."
