the Captain earlier. It seems like hostage taking and abuse is something that has been taken on by all sides. That includes Starfleet as well as the rebels and the governmental defense forces. Joanna pusher her hair out of the side of her face. "Please do not take this the wrong way, Colonel. Did you file any complaint with the local JAG office? Since Starfleet officers were involved, it is your duty to do that as soon as you see evidence of a possible crime against sentient life." Stark's shoulders almost seemed to fold in on himself. It was evident that those same questions were ones that he posed to himself. His eyes looked up wetly at her. "I was afraid ... I was afraid what would happen to me. Others who had tried to speak up had had their own difficulties, and I was afraid the same would happen to me." David raised an eyebrow..now this he could dig into... "That may be so, but the JAG is stationed at Van Der Loo's facility. Don't you think he has some influence with the office there." His eyes almost seemed to be pleading for forgiveness from the trio. "I'll accept that Colonel but I guarantee you that while we're here a sudden shakeup of that JAG office is due." He turned to Jackson, "Admiral-at some point I think we should do a sudden on-site visit with interviews at the JAG office. After all JAG is still my turf and Van Der Loo can't overrule me there." "I agree, David. I was thinking that even before since they should have ID'd this problem before if it is as widespread as it seems. That might be who we need to talk to next after we conclude with the Colonel here. It would allow us to track something not completely related to him." It was clear to Joanna that there were a lot more people involved in these incidents than she wanted to believe. "Colonel, when did these incidents start to happen? I only ask because I wonder if there was a reason that they suddenly became acceptable behavior." "They started about six months ago. At first, they were just rumors ... at least, that is what we thought they were. They always seemed to involve the other side, but over time, it was becoming clear that these incidents included our side, too." (folks?)
