Are you running out of memory? With the sa-blacklist.cf I see when
spamd kicks on it takes about 93MB of memory, without it the memory used
is about 43MB. This is with about 10 other rulesets turned on in both
cases.

I just used the -m switch and kept spamd limited to 5 processes.

Subject: blacklist brings system to halt

and it brought my system to a screeching halt. Mail barely dripped
through. There were no errors and no lost mail, it just took forever
to process mail. Has anyone else experienced this?
