Shame on you for making such a bad assumption without first inquiring about it (since it's not like we never talk) . It requires more than just asking to be on the committee, which we have. They have to open the door and let you in. We were on the IBC committee that dealt with chap 9 (Fire Protection systems) plus a few other chapters but even that was short term. Unlike the NFPA, once you get on, you don't stay on for an extended period of time.
