Hello All, I thought there was a section, which I can't find now, about measuring upright sprinklers from the edge of the insulation at the eaves. In other words, if you have a ceiling attached directly to the bottom of some trusses and they're putting an r-30 batt insulation (about 10"-12" thick) at the top chord of the trusses you're going to have the insulation completely filling about 2-3 feet of the area where the eaves meet at the wall - obviously you wouldn't need sprinklers in an area which would completely encase it in insulation so I'm measuring off the insulation as if it were the wall.
This is in NFPA 13.... right? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
