Hold on there Todd.   An FDC can be approved - see 6.8.1.1 and other
references in both 13 and 14.   If the serving FD wants an FDC
configured a certain way because that's how they're equipped and
programmed for firefighting operations, then by all means give the
EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT.  It's their connection ...

I tell them that since they are not UL listed for fire service, they are
not legal in the State of Connecticut (per State Fire Marshal)
