Hello all, I'm having some trouble with the above error message. I set up and installed Spyder no problems (using OSX Mountain Lion), however I use the Enthought Canopy distribution for Python, and would like to set this as my default interpreter.
Having gone into Preferences >> Console >> Advanced settings and changed the python executable to point to my Canopy Python interpreter, I am now getting the above error flag, meaning I cannot begin an IPython session. This is important as I'd like to take advantage of the features IPython has to offer. I've tried editing the PYTHONPATH to point to the Enthought Canopy /bin, but again this does not seem to have worked. Is there a resolution to this problem?
