Hi, I'm after some help with the LMS iTunes plugin. I have LMS and iTunes library + music files on my Synology DS213air NAS. I listen to the music from the NAS around the house on various Squeezbox Radios, Receivers and Touch, with library and multiple playlists (400+) synced using the LMS iTunes plugin. I alse use iTunes on my Windows10 laptop to sync selected playlistsfrom the same NAS library with my iPod Nano. I'd like to by a 128GB iPod Touch so I can have my entire music collection and playlists with me out and about. Here's my issue:
- iPod Touch128GB specs state it requires a minimum of iTunes 12.3 in order to sync - I've been running on iTunes 12.0.1 for several years, as have been unable to get LMS iTunes plugin to sync with iTunes library and XML files of anything more recent than this version. My LMS settings say the iTunes plugin is v1.0 (I'm not aware that a more recent version has been released). Having tested various newer versions of iTunes, anything higher than 12.0.1 always fails to rescan in LMS - it begins the scan, but just grinds to a halt and never completes. I wondered if this could be something to do with iTunes 12.0.1 being the last 32-bit version (albeit with a 64-bit installer for Windows 10) and more recent version being fully 64-bit (but am not sure). So, my question is: is there a way to get the LMS iTunes plugin working again with iTunes 12.3 or higher (ideally 12.7, which is a leaner aplication)? Is there an updated LMS iTunes plugin I can install that will achieve this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I need all my iTunes playlists on the LMS and Squeezeboxes around the house, but also really want to get a 128GB iPod Touch, which needs iTunes 12.3 or higher!
