i stand corrected, but i think it should be a lot higher up on the page... still i wonder when that was added b/c i def missed it. having said all that, i still contend its dopey.
as to your last point, most consumers have a dhcp server, so why not have it default to that, and say SBC required if you DON'T have a dhcp server? in fact, in the bugs i thought one of the issues being discussed is that you can't initially set static IPs for the SBC and SBR because they both use dhcp (if a dhcp server is detected as present)... so i assumed the SBR would use dhcp by default. this all btw is just one issue i was posting about in the OP, the whole process leaves a lot to be desired. -- MrSinatra www.LION-Radio.org Using: Squeezebox2 (primary) / SBR (secondary) / SBC - w/SC 7.3.1b - Win XP Pro SP3 - 3.2ghz / 2gig ram - D-Link DIR-655 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrSinatra's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57592 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
