Wow ...... thanks for at least opening my mind to the
possibility of asbestosis.  I admit to regarding the
soapstone dust as relatively benign , taking few
precautions, and not even using a mask unless using
power tools and the dust is especially heavy.  I will
start masking immediately.

But I'm also still pursuing more info on the subject,
because you really caught me by surprise.  Any
references you might point me toward?
