The first phase of the vscan project is already integrated, but
it really is just the first step in the journey. There's definitely
more to come :-). It's unfortunate, and probably a mistake on
our part, that the PSARC materials are currently closed. I hope
that we can fix that soon.

There's a lot more that we can do with the project. There are
other files systems that people may want to adapt to take
advantage of virus scanning. There are more virus scanning
applications and appliances that could be used AND several
of the vendors are already porting their products to Solaris;
which should give us future opportunities for closer integration
with these products.

We're really just getting started and we welcome your ideas
and feedback as we start planning how to take the project
to the next level.
