Sweet. I just skimmed over that page. Do you have experience using this
product? Is ZFS supported?
So guys, basically, what prompted this whole discussion is that I am
wanting to do a highly available NFS service running on top of a ZFS
filesystem. I have 2 SunFire X4200s (Opteron boxes) each with 2 dual-port FC
HBAs and 2 Xserve RAIDs on a QLogic FC fabric. Initially, I wanted to do a Sun
Cluster since version 3.2 now supports ZFS. I wanted to serve NFS from the Sun
Cluster using ZFS as the filesystem on the Xserve RAIDs, hence all the
multipathing discussion.
Am I making this too complicated? I really just need high availability NFS
on ZFS with intervention-free failover. A 2-node Sun Cluster looked attractive
because it looked more like an active-active scenario, but active-passive would
suit, as long as the failover is transparent to my users. Perhaps this Veritas
solution you mention would work?
Cheers
