I say: You could make it more clear by noticing the reality of the situation. Your position is sort of like saying "I support a stadium, but I don't support the construction of a stadium". Ah, well, you know - you have to build it (or pay for it) before you can have one. I support a stadium too if I don't have to pay for it. Go build a stadium somewhere and see if I care! The only reason I oppose it is because I have not seen offer ONE to pay for the stadium in ANY way except by public funding. Every conversation we have about how nice a stadium would be is bending people to the idea that it might be worth paying for. It's not!
I was talking to a friend in Dallas the other day and he was telling me about the team currently lobbying them for a new stadium (football, I think) and they haven't finished having the citizens of the city pay for the double expected cost stadium for (I think) basketball!
