It sounds like the responsibilities of the Area Superintendent are for the most part what used to be the responsibilities of the Superintendent.
Why do we have all the Area Superintendents?
How do you find out which one is for the school that your particular child attends?
I have been deeply involved in my child's education, as has my wife, and I can't for the life of me ever remember seeing an Area Superintendent nor who they might be.
This Area Superintendent thing needs to be re-evaluated as to if it has made any difference, if so the value of that difference, a cost benefit analysis.
Seems like we have just another layer that we are paying for which means less $$ getting to the classroom.
