ok - I agree - there are plenty of sidetracked discussions going on, it appears that a single twitter message these days ( so to speak) can generate 50 pages of stuff based on only knowing 100 characters.

if you know of sun partners that were small and basically telling you they dropped selling, we are trying to work with the large partner community and there are things we can do. there were tons of partners and as with everything, not everyone gets the message or knows where to go, as we find such issues we try to work with partners and resolve it (related to partner fees).

we have been working on the oracle partner program, are adding training, are making sure messages go out to the world, and we've found that sometimes it can take a month or 2 before some partners actually realize it or get the message.

also, just because there's no specific program called "education discount" doesn't mean that prices are list price or can't be negotiated and so on.

we have been working hard on cleaning up a lot of stuff, and we have come a long way, we definitely definitely have a long way to go and some of this, as it's understandably frustrating to you, is also frustrating for us. it's not magic. it's not about evil vs good. we're doing what we can, we are making progress, it will still take time.

But at least, one thing that's been clear is that we didn't stop releasing stuff, we 've worked very hard to continue everything going forward and minimize impact on fixing bugs, on releasing new features. we're not just doing that for fun, we want to have customers using it.

we're on it,. really ... as fast as we can.
