Adrian, I don't have a solid answer to your problem but will take a shot at it. USB is flaky in our older systems. You might have to put up with the unplugging/replugging in OS 9. I sometimes have to do that with a USB hub in OS X. This is on a new machine that has built in USB support??? You might have a Conflict. Do you have drivers and/or Control Panels installed for both mice. I don't remember how long you have been using all three OSs. Are there different drivers for each OS for the Turbo Mouse? You might also need to play around with different versions of USB support in OS 8.6 The strange error message implies that you have overdrawn the total power supplied by the PCI cards. There is a limit, but I don't know what it is on your machine. It may just be a off-the-wall sort of error message.
