Thanx Nancy. Funny thing is, the USB Turboball is working again reliably
under 9.1 (no more unplug/plug). For some reason, it just doesn't like my
8.6 boot. I have identical Kensington and Keyspan software installed on both
volumes. I never used to have any problems with it in the "old" days when
8.6 was my only system.

Regarding USB (powered) hubs. Are they truly "universal"? In other words,
can I wander into Costco and just pick one off the shelf, or do I have to
get a Mac-friendly one?
