Adrian,

Check the version of the USB Device Extension on your 8.6 install. If 
it is anything less than 1.4.1, you'll want to install Apple's "USB 
Adapter Card Support" version 1.4.1 (from Apple's support site).

The power message which you mentioned was a common problem with early 
versions of USB support, especially if you installed any USB software 
which came with your USB card. You may need to go through and remove 
(or at least disable) any other USB extensions that you find, then 
remove and reinstall Mouseworks because Mouseworks installs different 
extensions depending on the version of USB software installed.
