I believe the Monitors control panel will work even if it wasn't in the
control panels folder at startup. For instance, I'm currently typing this on
a B&W G3 running OS9.1, but I have another internal hard drive that has
OS8.6 installed. I just went into the OS86 system folder and used the
Monitors control panel there, and it worked fine.
