Here's how to open the S900 up if you've never had the pleasure...lay the box on it's side so the CD drive is on your right. You remove the cover (left hand panel when standing) by unscrewing the knob in the rear top portion of the panel. Just unscrew it till lose as you don't have to remove all of the screw. Examine the rear edge of the panel to find 2 "L" type grooves on each corner. With the fingers of the left hand place the finger tips under the lip of the panel. Then while depressing the "L" type groove, pull the cover with the finger tips to the rear. Then repeat the operation on the other side. The removal is rapid if you pull each side a little while depressing the "L" type groove. In a couple of cycles the cover slides off. Another popular method is to Place the palm of the left hand in the middle of the panel and press and push the panel to the rear while depressing the grove. Then switch to the other side. This method also works best if small efforts are made on each side for the panel to slide off easily. Good luck.
