Thanks!  H6D0F it is!  There was just a rather large space between the F and
the rest, so I wasn't sure if the whole thing was the model number, or just
the first bit.

Where on the case should it say S900?  Mine is missing the top door that
covers the drive bays, maybe it was there.

I don't mind the fan noise, it's a nice smooth air blowing sort of noise.

The noise I hear, even when the fans and computer are off, is VERY high
pitched, like "on the upper limit of human hearing" high pitched.  If you've
ever heard the whine some camera flashes make when they're recharging,
that's the sound I'm hearing.  Only at a constant pitch.  When I unplug the
computer, the noise continues for a few seconds, increasing in frequency
(sounding just like a camera flash recharging) then disintegrates into some
crackle-y buzzing noises, and is gone.

Nope, the noise definitely is coming from the electronics inside the power
supply.

Yes, it's a UMAX card, I think it's the "E100" card that I've heard about.
