Such a deal! I paid $ 30 for an Asante PCI ethernet card. That went 
into my S900. That's another story.
But my C500 worked fine with a phone line 28.8 modem to surf without 
adding anything to the inerds.  So I guess it should be OK. I think 
there was a low priced model of the C500 that didn't have ethernet 
capability.  When I bought my C500 new at a Computer Ware store, I 
remember rejecting the low priced 'cause I wanted to surf. Maybe you 
have that model? Hope not. Good luck.
