Thanks, Eric. I've been using the C500 with a 56K modem and it worked pretty well. It was a pretty cheap one when I got it (200MHz), but it's got the PCI slots I'd think would work with e-net. Oh, well. I'll try another card--Asante sounds good-- and if that doesn't work, I guess it will become a word processor and game player.

But my C500 worked fine with a phone line 28.8 modem to surf without adding anything to the inerds. So I guess it should be OK. I think there was a low priced model of the C500 that didn't have ethernet capability. When I bought my C500 new at a Computer Ware store, I remember rejecting the low priced 'cause I wanted to surf.
