An easy way to boot the different OS's when using XPFacto.
Use XPF to boot from OS9 to OSX and when you want to boot back to OS 9
hold down the option key and it boots into OS 9 This works for restarts
or from a cold start. The machine otherwise boots into the OS it was in
when you shut down. You are correct there is currently no way to boot a
cd from OSX. In fact you will likely get the "Black Screen of Death"
Ryan is working on including CD booting and Firewire drive booting in
XPFacto 3.0
later Will S
PS I tried Sonnets OSX software the cache software included doesn't
work with XLR8 G3/4 upgrades so this kept it from working it did
install but crashed as soon as the cache software loaded and I could
figure out to remove or turn it off. So likely only works with Sonnet
upgrades thought some other brands may work.
