Hi Alan-

I had used a 12 x 18" Kurta tablet in the early 90's and then went to
a Wacom of the same size in a business situatio. Large sizes are
really not necessary unless you are tracing and image at same size
into the computer. If you are drawing, retouching or just mousing
around (??)- all you need is the smallest Wacom which you can get for
about 85.00 USB. I use 2 monitors and all you need to control the
stylus accross the entire viewing area and with great control, merely
wrist movement, is to set the Wacom software aspect ratio to "entire
tablet" and "to fit". These settings give you great control for doing
work with the "pen tool" in AI, PS and Painter as well as the
"airbrush tool" and all else. With our machines I find it a plus that
I can use a Microsoft Intellapoint (USB) mouse with a ADB Wacom
tablet so if I start up with extensions off, the pen acts as a mouse
where the USB mouse is not enabled at all. I hope this wasn't too OT.
