-- Hi- There are a couple of things you could check to make your files printable. With the amount of RAM your working with, I would suggest that you check and adjust a few things. You may have already done these-but in case you have missed one: Turn off Virtual Memory, Photoshop uses a proprietary memory management system. Close all apps and check in the Apple menu "About this Computer" to see how much RAM your system is using. Deduct this amount from your total installed RAM, (you said you have 256mgs). The remaining balance minus about 10mgs for safety is the amount you can give to Photoshop with all other apps closed. Find the Photoshop app icon click on it (don't open it) and do a Command i. In the info box scroll down from "General Information" to the memory allocation "Preferred Size" and change it to the amount of RAM you have available. ie: If your system is using 80mgs out of your 256mgs, leaving a safety of 10mgs, your balance available for PS alone is around 160mgs: 160000K is the number you put in that box. Leave the minimum size as is. Since you are printing (or trying to print) on an Epson 3000 you may not need the amount of resolution you have designated for your images. If you need to know how to check that and for suggestions on what it could be- and how to bring down your resolution in current files. you can contact me off list. I don't want to wear down the patience of people on this great list with much more OT stuff. dan_A -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
