Okay, I think you win on price, but I can beat you on time, Performa 400,
 2x 2MB SIMMs from Club-Mac for $180.

Can't believe the stuff we used to pay for and use.
I was very fortunate to have use of a Quadra 950 and several subsequent
models at work when a setup could cost as much as some cars back then.

The Q950 (and 900) were great machines for RAM. They were the last machines from Apple to use 30 pin SIMMs (newer machines used 72 pin) and they had sixteen (16!) SIMM sockets. Talk about a sink for your old 30 pin SIMMs. Just keep installing them until your arm gets tired.

In Nov. 1990 I paid $41.50 each for two 1 MB SIMMs from MacTel for my Mac Plus.... In 1992 I paid $399 for an external 105 MB (not GB, MB) hard drive from APS Technology for my Mac Plus. It was quite a bargain, considering that a year or two earlier an external 800K floppy drive cost about $80. It was nice to go from dual floppies to a hard drive based system...
