I would have thought the fix for the original problem would have been o remove
the drive that problems came with rather then a new motherboard. Perhaps you
tried that first. Nothing with the new motherboards Sounds like Power supply or
wires/ connectors from power supply or perhaps dead motherboard. I would pull
power supply connectors and re-install. Also possible to check voltage from
power supply with voltage meter. There are two plugs one should give you apox
5 volts and the other 12 volts apox. It should be the orange and black wires on
one plug and the red and black on the other which you check.

From the "Umax_ATX_PS" article on building an adapter from an ATX power supply to a Umax motherboard. I think this article is up on Kennedy's site:

**********S900 Power Supply Pinout*******************

I'll be using PS to mean power supply often.

The S900/J700 PS uses three 'AT' style connectors and one three pin .100" pitch connector. Each 'AT' style connector has six pins/wires. I will start from the back of the machine and list the pins in order moving forward.

The rearmost connector is labeled J20 on the S900/J700 motherboard but connects to two of the 'AT' style connectors. That is, it has twelve pins. The next connector is the three pin connector and it is labeled J26 on the motherboard. The front most connector is labeled 3.3V.

Starting at the rear:

(1st AT style connector, J20)
Green Power Good
Red +5V
Yellow +12V
Blue -12V
Black Ground
Black Ground

(2nd AT style connector, J20)
Black Ground
Black Ground
White -5V
Red +5V
Red +5V
Red +5V

(3 pin connector, J26)
Brown Ground
Purple +5V Standby (Also known as: SB or Trickle)
Black Power On

(3rd AT style connector, '3.3V')
Orange +3.3V
Orange +3.3V
Orange +3.3V
Black Ground
Black Ground
Black Ground
================================================

Note that the pin positions are definitive but that the wire colors might vary from the list above.
