snipsFrom: "David R." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sat, 20 Mar 2004 09:26:19 -0800 Morning everyone,
Well now that I have settled into OSX for a few months, I am looking at my 8
1/2" X 14" HP Scanjet IIcx SCSI Scanner still hooked up to the s900. Point
is, it is such a great quality resolution scanner, and I'd like to use it
under X rather than have to buy a new one. But can I?
So I'm hoping somebody here has been using an HP SCSI Scanner under OSX, or
know how. Right now its not even seen in the ASP. I have no scanner
drivers or software installed for OSX as of yet either.
Anybody?
Thanks,
Dave
Vuescan is what you are looking for. It works with nearly all Mac SCSI scanners in OSX. In fact many people say it works better then the software which comes with supported scanners. It's so popular they now have OS 9 and Linux versions and also USB versions. It's shareware with free trial versions.
Vuescan can be found at:
