Well now that I have settled into OSX for a few months, I am looking at my 8 1/2" X 14" HP Scanjet IIcx SCSI Scanner still hooked up to the s900. Point is, it is such a great quality resolution scanner, and I'd like to use it under X rather than have to buy a new one. But can I?
You might try VueScan (shareware; look at www.versiontracker.com) or Silverfast (commercial; www.silverfast.com). Both claim to drive a great array of SCSI-Scanners and both are available as demos, so there is no risk on your side.
Hope this helps,
Nils
