While your issue is significantly addressed in the last section -- "Defeating Browser Sniffing" -- you might need to read the entire page to get the necessary background to deal with this. I much prefer using PrefBar to spoof browsers, to make Web sites think I am using Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer, or Edge. You can get PrefBar from the link indicated in the Web page I cite in the paragraph above. It is likely you will have to update the list of user agent strings used by PrefBar. I can send you my current list. However, new versions of existing browsers are released often, requiring the list to be updated frequently. I update my list about once each month by checking a log of visits to my own Web site, a log maintained by site's host. -- David E.
