If I'm understanding the syntax correctly, this calculation returns the same result (today's date) regardless of whether the test is true or false -- which means regardless of whether CONTACT INFO has changed or not. That implies that the test (and thus the CONTACT INFO field) is not necessary, since the Edit Date will change every time the field is recalculated. Or am I misunderstanding something? If I've got it right, that means that we're counting on field recalculations only happening when the contact info has changed. The fact that my copy of ebase updates the Edit Date whenever we add contact records (events with source codes) suggests that the Edit Date field is being recalculated at that time as well. Or, again, am I misunderstanding something? --Ben ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
