I'd like to write a little script that will log all changes to the name and 
address fields in the memo field, so that volunteers don't have to remember 
to document changes themselves.  (An example: Don Smith signed up for our 
newsletter in 1998, but we just received a check from him and his wife Donna 
that was signed by Donna, implying that she's interested, so we add her name 
to his record rather than doing all that fooling around with householding.  
We want a record that Donna wasn't in the database for the past four years.)

I feel like I ought to be able to piggyback this script on whatever action 
updates the Contact Info Edit Date field, since that field changes whenever 
the record is modified, but I can't figure out what that action is.  Who can 
tell me?

On a related note, I'd like to make the Contact Info Edit Date field *only* 
update itself when the Names table info is modified, *not* when contacts or 
payments are added.  It's a real pain to send out a mailing that generates 
contact records and then find that all the edit dates for those hundreds of 
people have been obliterated -- that's useful information; we need to know 
which volunteer last modified the record.
