Two ways: A quick way and a slower way.
Start off by creating a bitmap, must be less than 640x480,350,200 (VGA,
EGA, CGA) IIRC, then compress it with RLE - Paint Shop Pro does that
nicely.
Quick way: A DOS COPY command in WINDOWS\SYSTEM that combines the Windows
bootstrap with the logo displayer and logo. However, I can't remember the
order or filenames so ignore this for now.
Slow way: Call the RLE file VGALOGO.RLE, or EGALOGO.RLE or CGALOGO.RLE, and
put it in WINDOWS\SYSTEM. Fire up Windows Setup and change your display
driver to a different driver, let Windows rewrite WIN.COM. Then change it
back to what it was before, let it rewrite WIN.COM and it will have picked
up the new logo file.
