This is something else I never figured out.  I have never even seen an ESDI
HD or controller.  I don't think I have ever heard of there use outside of
some IBM PS/2's.

How does ESDI stack up against SCSI 1 and SCSI 2?  I am curious because I
went right from MFM to SCSI, with a brief re-visit to floppy only :-)
