 ] three notebooks now. <g>

Well, I did reinforce it with electrical tape. Should be fairly hard
to break now. :)

] This one I didn't really notice if they were supposed to be hex screws,
] since I kept using my flathead jeweler's screwdriver, which kept
] working. Anyway, I managed to open it up again, did a bit of what I'd
] wanted to do, it worked for a while, then I got "overenthusiastic," and
] now it's not working at all. Might still be fixable. Gave up for the
 ] moment, though.

Isn't that always the case? (If it ain't broke, I can fix it)

] Dittoes on the null-modem cable. Must be a Standard Compaq Notebook
 ] thing, everybody gets one?

I think: the manual was explaining it, and things like to share data
with your bigger computer. Too bad all my other computers are limited
to 9600bps. ;(

But its handy; I played Doom with my sister over it. The Compaq
handled the video fairly well.

] By the way, since I (probably) permanently
] broke my Compaq, I might consider parting with the docking station.
 ]
] Lemme try fixing it again, and then breaking it again. <g>

Woo hoo. But then it might cost too much to send overseas, and/or get
broken in transit. I would like to hook it up to the 286 monitor I
have here. Thanks for the offer.
