My current position is that this list shouldn't dis-
criminate OSen any more, whether that Windows, Linuxes,
or anything else, as long as they run reliable on SurvPCs.
Sadly, if you researching the archives, you'll find that
Windows bashing is not uncommon on a DOSsy list like this.
An irony to the fact that no matter what, historically
Windows' are direct descendants of DOS, and Linuces are
UNIX's offsprings. Or am I mistakenly putting cats and
dogs under the same roof here? :(

Now this bring us to the issue of SurvPC "boundary", if
you read my test page, you'll find out that I've moved
up the "upper limit" into a grayer area, by stated "early
Pentiums" -- which (IMO), will covers at least P-1's
(including clones). Maybe I shouldn't define any limits
at all in the first place? Something like "anything that
no longer state-of-the-art" probably would be better...

Whether these are the right decisions or not I'm still in
the dark. List members' feedbacks would be greatly needed
here, including newcomers. My point is that even our list
policy should be fluid, updated from time to time as needed,
and should not be viewed as a sacred shrine, which obeyed
blindly down to the letter... A real eye-opener, was when I
found a local sysadmin group openly debated RFCs "trueness",
from time to time...

Being running on reserve, perhaps that were partly my mistakes
too. Everything tends to be short-lived when fallen into my
hands, and now this list too... Guess sooner or later I
would ended up writing "The Death of a Mailing List"... :(
